Guagua, 'Psychotropical'

Guaga is a saucey instrumental band that creates flavorful music. Much like their album ‘Pan Frito’ which can also be found on the VMLS website, ‘Psychotropical’ is a burst of life and sensuality. The album blends an array of instruments together, (including pan flutes, bongos and cowbells, amongst several others) creating an atmosphere that urges listeners to get up from their seats and dance. As they suggest in “Not Your Mama’s Samba”, Guaga’s ‘Psychotropical’ is a genre once again of their own: a spicy, salsa type of jazz. -Michael Fecher
