Dirtwar, 'Let's Fall In Love'
The contradiction between the name of the band (Dirtwar) and their album ‘Let’s Fall in Love’ is persistent throughout the entire album. The album strikes a reflective melancholy pop despite much of the song content revolving around love. In their song “Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere” the band harmonizes “Don’t you go away girl/ Don’t you give up on this love/ Because the devil took my soul when I found you/ And I’m living in my hell now.” It suggests throughout, that despite any turns for the worst that love will continue to persist, to shine through. -Michael Fecher
